I believe the way way to learn maths is by practicing. My approach will be focused on working on a variety of questions, allowing me to target areas of weakness, which I will break down and explain in as much detail as is required. I understand, particularly in maths, how easy it is to make errors under time pressure. Spending time working on questions and getting methods engrained.

It is also very beneficial to review exams which students have already completed. Learning from mistakes and making sure students understand where they need to improve is incredibly important.

I am also able to help students with exam technique and neatness, since this is something I struggled with. I can share tips I learnt and used successfully to improve on this.

Learning maths is not always easy and the same approach will not work for every student. I am able to be flexible in the way I work to get the best out of every student I teach.
