As a maths undergraduate, I am constantly studying mathematics. This means the maths that I did at school is fresh in my mind I remember how it’s done. I received an A in my Higher Maths with only 6 marks lost and I can use the methods that helped me to help pupils in need of it. This includes working through the course and helping pupils identify areas in need of improvement. In this, we can find the best method for them personally to tackle certain topics. Not only will the tutoring help them know what they need to pass the exams but I will teach in such a way that makes them understand the content. The maths won’t mean anything if it isn’t understood and it will prove harder to build upon the maths without a secure foundation in understanding. That’s why I aim to identify what pupils need to understand and provide basic ways in which they get a grasp on the content and be more confident in it. The one to one teaching will allow for me to identify what stage the pupil is at and how they learn best without the pressure of having to get an entire class up to speed. Lessons are given online or in person for those living near Bridge of Weir. I hope to be able to assist you in your mathematical journey and provide you with tools that don’t just get you through one exam but allow a greater grasp of how to use maths later in school and other aspects of life.
