As an experienced teacher of GCSE and A Level Biology, I will work with you to discover your areas for development and to bring you up to speed. We will then practice exam style questions with the onus on vocabulary and keywords to demonstrate your understanding.

The key areas of the syllabus will be built upon, with detail and complexity being added to suit your target grade. Previous lessons will be recapped with interleaved questioning to "interrupt your forgetting" of the content.

I explain things clearly and carefully and provide you with ample time and opportunity to ask your own questions. The approach to lessons will be the same whether you are aspiring to achieve a grade 9 or if you are chasing that grade 5 or grade 6. By raising your confidence I will train you to view 6 mark questions as an opportunity for an easy brace of marks.

Although we cannot complete the required practical investigations online, I will be able to show you exactly how these are done and what to look out for on the exam questions related to these experiments. Part of the practical skills in Biology is the ability to interpret data, draw accurate graphs and work out a range of calculations. These will all be covered with the relevant content.

Before you begin your lessons, I will need to know your target grade, the grade you think you are working at, what you are currently covering at school, any information about special educational needs you may have and which exam board your school is using.
