My lessons are on Zoom, and can be multi-camera if necessary. The content of the lessons depends on the needs of the pupil and are vast and varied. If you are a beginner we would cover some of the fundamentals of the guitar such as the names of the parts, then we would go on to look at the mechanics of producing notes on the guitar, how to press down on the strings, how to hold a pick etc. I think it's good to cover these things head on to avoid bad habits developing. We can perhaps look at reading guitar music and using that as a basis of attempting to play some simple melodies, we can also look at chord charts and how to read them, and look at strumming patterns and start to make the guitar sound like a guitar. I have been playing for 37 years and teaching full time for 21 of those, I've worked in many local schools and academies, teaching hundreds of pupils, some have gone on to study music at university and get jobs in the music industry (one of my former pupils got his first airplay on Radio 1 last week). I've played hundreds of gigs of all shapes and sizes all around the Uk and Europe and have also developed a keen interest in music production, I use Logic Pro and have taught people how to use it. I have an easy persona, I try to develop conversations rather than deliver lectures and I think that has worked to my advantage over the years. Hope to hear from you!
