I believe in teaching by example, I have found students are able to build a much better foundation on a topic by going through several questions to internalise the method and then applying it to their subsequent work. I understand that all students learn differently, which suits my ability to adapt to cater towards a wide range of abilities and experience. Having achieved excellent results at GCSE and A Level, through the power of perseverance I have discovered many methods to understand a topic, such as practice questions, group problem solving and understanding why a certain question is being asked. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I taught students in KS2 and GCSE in Maths and Science. This was an invaluable experience as it has made me an expert on conveying complex ideas on a computer screen. I am able to convey complex concepts through PowerPoint and screen sharing. My students have gone on to great success applying the methods of learning they built with my help. I believe it is crucial for students to understand why they are learning a topic as it provides extra intrinsic motivation to learn and hence function as productive members of society. I would love to continue providing dedicated and focused online sessions to help students reach their full potential and go above and beyond their expectations. I am available around the clock to support students outside of their dedicated sessions and happy to provide additional support, as well as practice questions and mock exam papers.
