The format I use for my teaching is explaining grammars then using it in examples, mentioning the daily usages and their structures. Besides grammar, I will teach the synonyms of different words using in academic or everyday life. For the beginning, it is important that in which level a student is and how is her/his understandings about Academic English, as it is much different from the native one. There is not a specific way or method that every person has to learn through that. For everyone it is different, some might like to learn through various applications and Q&A while others may tend to write and memorize in order to understand a topic.
