I have taught Sociology as a Teaching Associate during university. I have also taught a multi-disciplinary curriculum at an American Early Learning Franchise- where the subjects ranged from Economics, Astronomy, Communication, Creative Writing, Earth Science to Math. At the Elementary level, I have taught English and Science for over four years.
Later on, I taught Marketing, Business and Management courses for UK’s highly acclaimed BTEC program.
I have worked as an educational content manager for an Ed-Tech company briefly. This involved researching, organizing and curating educational resources for students and teachers at large.
My teaching methodology is utilizing hands-on, interactive, project and case-study based learning irrespective of the age of my target audience. I use a student-centric approach. While teaching, I allow students to lead the class at their own understanding and pace.
The goal is to finish the instruction material within the assigned time by not compromising at the quality. I can integrate quizzes, assignments, and checkpoint recaps into the lesson so as to ensure that the students understand what is being instructed.
The first lesson which is free of charge, is always a getting to know the student and involves a casual first introduction. Then follows a course introduction before jumping right into the topic of discussion. Through out my lessons, my primary goal remains the optimal understanding of the students. Furthermore, I like to alter my course material, pace and integrate real life examples such as current affairs and case studies to suit the needs of the students.
