I teach English (AQA curriculum) Maths and Sciences (Edexcel) up to GCSE level, I help my students revise and can add onto what they have learnt through school. I work solely remotely and tailor each of my lessons to my students' needs. My goal is not only to improve my students' grades but to also boost their confidence and help them learn good study techniques that will help them with their future studies. I have a few years of experience teaching all the subjects listed above up to the GCSE level, both as part of an organisation and privately. I encourage my students to come forwards and be honest about any questions or concerns that they have regarding the subjects we study, not just questions I give them but also one's they may come across in their own time. My lessons are usually 1 hour long for maths and science and for English they range from one hour to an hour and a half, it is entirely up to the student and parents how many lessons a week they would like to arrange. For my English lessons I like to give pop quizzes and test their memory on quotes and text passages then have them apply this by creating a plan for a past paper question which they will then use to perhaps complete the essay as homework. for maths i focus more on understanding the methods used and when to apply the different techniques which takes practice so I have a bank of practice questions ready. For the sciences it is a little bit of a mix, where I give the students a guide to keywords that examiners look for as well as easy ways to memorise the heavy content taught in school.
