I have been teaching and tutoring for over 3 years now. I love to get to know my students first so that I can then teach them in a way that is unique to them. I managed to achieve this in the classroom even though there were over 20 students in a class but I believe that once that is managed as a teacher tutoring because easier.
I like to go over what knowledge my students have on a topic before building on such knowledge and introducing more complex situations. I like to know what can be fun for them and use that to encourage them to learn particularly difficult topics.
Most people think Biology has a lot to do with memorization, but I think differently. I think Biology is a very visual subject so that once you have the picture of what you are learning in mind, it becomes very easy to actually KNOW rather than to remember.
I take pride in watching my students grow academically and I believe that with my lessons, every student has the opportunity to learn and improve academically because no student is a write-off!
