Hello, welcome to my page :)

My name is Maryam and I'm a Mathematics Graduate with over 4 years of experience in tutoring. I have previously worked in a Tuition Centre where I provided 1 to 1 and group lessons so am familiar with different learning abilities. I've taught students of varying ages 5-18. Since covid I had the opportunity to take my tutoring online and have since provided countless hours of online tuition. During this time, I had the pleasure of working for a UK university during my final year of my bachelor's degree. As part of this I underwent extensive training to enhance my tutoring skills which equipped me with knowledge and practical experience of online teaching, and was able to obtain this training by senior lecturers and academics.

My teaching style includes creating PowerPoint slides which I walk students through with step-by-step explanations on the online whiteboard, my lessons contain a starter to review previous topics and homework is set after each class as I believe the only way to learn maths is to practice maths. Practice is crucial in Mathematics for students to improve their problem-solving skills and obtain top grades.

I provide tutoring for primary, secondary, A Levels student as well as home schooling students, exam preparation including SATs exams, 11+.

Overall, I believe my positive attitude and drive coupled with extensive experience and subject specialty will enable you as well as my current students to achieve the grades they are able to achieve!
