I use online platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams to give personalised lessons to Maths students of all abilities from the comfort of their home. The general structure of my lessons include teaching the specific topic, going through a few questions together, then completing some questions either alone or for homework, which we will review in the next lesson. However, if the student prefers a different type of learning, I will be more than happy to cater to this, but this method is what I've seen work best with other students.
I studied Maths A level from 2019 to 2021, as well as GCSE, and it was always one of my favourite subjects. I know this is not the same for everyone, in fact my younger brother was always someone who could never understand Maths, however, over the years I helped him out, and recently he managed to achieve a T level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, which is incredibly Maths heavy.
Regarding my GCSE experience, I used to teach a foundation GCSE class once a week during my A level studies, as well as privately tutoring a young student who was projected a 2, and I managed to get her up to achieving a 4 in her exams later in the year. I have a true passion for helping people understand my favourite school subject, and also seeing the pride on a students face when they realise Maths isn't too bad after all.
Although I have no teaching qualifications, due to only being 21 years old, all my studies were very recent so I still have an expansive knowledge of Maths up to a GCSE level, and can help younger students, as well as Foundation GCSE too.
I look forward to hopefully meeting and working with you!
