Hello everybody! My name is Martina, an Italian girl with a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Biology that has also recently completed a PhD in Neurogenetics at the University of Leicester (UK). I have always been extremely passionate about science which became my educational choice, however during the years I have also developed an interest in languages. I can fluently speak Italian, English and Spanish and I am currently studying Arabic. Aside from my studies I had many experiences in tutoring and supervising students of different ages (from primary school to bachelor students) in several subjects. This made me realise that I really enjoy helping people in achieving their goals or simply overcome the struggle of a certain topic as I once was in the same position. My expertise lies in Science, from the basics to more specific subjects such as Molecular Biology or Genetics but I can also help in languages as my mothertongue is Italian and i was myself a student of English or Spanish.
I have a naturally friendly and approachable character, I also strongly believe that sessions should be focus on the student's specific need to unlock the person's full potential. I will help students with homework, assessments and exams by tackle difficult concepts, revising and explaining specific topics in order to achieve a long term memory and understanding of what we decide to work on during the lesson. My ultimate goal is for every single student to get the most of our tutoring sessions!
