My sessions vary based on the students that I have in front of me. For those working towards grade 4 we work to cement the basics by doing a lot of recall of number facts and mathematical rules before then applying them and learning how to recognise situations where we need them. For those working towards the higher grades we explore a lot of multi-step questions and higher end topics which then integrate other topics. The higher level questions are. only higher level because they ask you to recall and use several mathematical skills at the same time.

In group sessions I like get students working together and challenging each others thinking, this creates a great atmosphere and really improves their critical thinking and problem solving when ideas are bounced off one another.

I have over 10 years experience teaching and have excellent knowledge of the GCSE exam system as well as good knowledge of the common entrance systems, my students have all made excellent progress, most progress has been made with students who have additional needs.

For any companies who wish to up skill their members of staff, I offer functional skills tuition in a one to one setting or in small or large groups. These sessions are interactive and fun as well as educational. They get people using the maths that is relevant to them in their job role so that they get to practice these skills in a dafe environment and learn without fear of making mistakes.
