With over 6 years of experience, my teaching approach is rooted in the science of learning itself to begin with. To understand better how we retain knowledge, I found myself exploring various areas of science, including Neuro-science, Psychology and Pedagogy, which I found most valuable in the process. I regard these fields as a matter of personal and professional curiosity whilst consistently staying on the cutting edge of information within them.
To achieve appropriate learning progress, a learning plan and goals are pre-defined before the journey begins. That may look different for any one individual due to a variety of needs, likes and other areas of expertise. Other languages, music, art, film and television are useful tools to help learning progress but also video games, cooking, baking, culture, history and any other relatable subject can make an impact, so long as they are enjoyed by the student.
I mainly use free exercise materials, including self-made exercises and cheat sheets, as well as past papers, Goethe practice materials or YouTube, , There should be rarely additional expense for materials at all and I am also happy to work with any materials you already are able to provide yourself.
Every lesson is similar to a stage performance - you will enjoy yourself, you will laugh, pay attention and learn something in the process. The art of a good lesson, to me, lies within this performance. It is about catching people's attention to the point where they mistake learning for genuinely having fun to which they look forward to.
