My lessons begin with a fun ice-breaker, a get to know your Teacher/Student game followed by reading a piece of material with the student and discussing the work.

Any words the student is uncertain of, the pronunciation or definition, I will help them with the grammar, syllable structure, meaning, and the use of key vocabulary in context in a sentence.

Next, I will test the student's understanding of the material with a 10 question comprehension quiz. We will then discuss the results. Afterwards, a listening exercise relevant to the written material will be used.

I will also ask the student to give me a professional PowerPoint presentation and critique this with positive and analytical feedback.

Then, a freeform talk, Q + A session and language games will be played, using real life scenarios and fun language improving methods.

Finally, I will issue the student with reading, writing and presentation homework assignments. Once the homework exercise has been completed and returned to me, I will proofread the essay and provide excellent critical feedback and improvement suggestions, plus a grade (percentage and letter) to then be reviewed in the following lesson.

I will work diligently with my students to improve all aspects of their English language learning - reading, writing, listening and speaking. I will also focus on their interests in life, work, goals for the future etc. to tailor the lessons to them personally.

A major goal of our lessons is to help the student improve aspects of their language learning that will support their progress in real world situations.
