Martha Coogan

My lessons will depend entirely on the student, whether it be supporting their curriculum, revising for exams, or anyone looking to improve their french for fun. I have loved studying French for the last 8 years, and I will use techniques that I have found useful and engaging myself. Lessons will be interactive and challenging as I try to make French grammar as interesting as I can. Through my own study of French I have a broad knowledge of films, book, music, politics and culture to help engage students, French is more than just conjugating verbs, and I will try my best to bring this language to life in my lessons.

I spent a year living and studying in Toulouse in France as part of my degree. The benefits of learning a language are endless; the experiences that become available, the friends you make. There is so much joy in conversing with a local in their native language and having them understand you. I have life long friends and invaluable memories through my study of French, and this is something I want for others too.

I am comfortable teaching and conversing in French at any level. I feel my experience of living in France and my passion for French culture and language would benefit students greatly. I can help with homework, past papers, mock speaking exams and translations. I can provide my own materials as well as supplementing what a student gets from their teacher. And I promise to deliver it all with a smile on my face and enthusiasm for my subject.
