¡Hola!

My name is Marta and I am from Madrid but I have lived away from Spain for over 23 years. I have a teaching degree and I am currently working as a full time Spanish teacher in a Grammar School. I have been a private tutor for many years and my students have benefited from my experience and teaching technique and they have got very good results. I am passionate about my country and my culture and language, and I am happy to teach any level of secondary, including GCSE and A Level. My lessons are engaging, bespoke and I believe you will learn and improve your Spanish with me. I work towards the areas the student need most support, whether is grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, tranlating, speaking or writing. I do have techniques to work each of those areas. My students tell me that the fact that I am native and can provide more background knowledge about life in Spain, traditions, etc, helps them really understand the culture and the grammar of Spain, so they feel better prepared when doing a writing or a speaking assessent, so they can add more detail to their work. I hope you will like that too! I also put special interest in the pronunciation of my students, so I can ensure they are familiar with the most difficult sounds and they can be understood when speaking Spanish, whether in Spain or in any Spanish speaking country.
