Hello, I'm an enthusiastic tutor. I have been teaching languages for more than 20 years. I have been teaching adults and children, in schools, group lessons, and private tutoring.
After 20 years it's still amazing to see a person with no knowledge of Italian becoming fluent and being able to have a conversation in a new language.
Every student is different and it's great to establish that connection that makes it possible for me to get to know the person and allows me to tailor the classes on their needs and change the lesson structure based on their requests.
Within my classes I tend to include not only Italian language but also Italian culture which, of course, gives a twist to the whole experience.
I always send the lesson resources beforehand so that the student knows the lesson plan and can feel more confident during the lesson. I also send some optional homework or exercises so that the student can revise the topic if they have the time. This speeds up the learning process and the student can feel a sense of achievement sooner rather than later and this gives them the motivation to go on with learning Italian.
Moreover, I send the student a list of online resources or cultural links to where they can refer throughout the course. This will include listening resources, exercises, grammar, videos and cultural references.
I'm quite flexible and I'm happy to move a class as long as enough notice is given.
