I am an English Tutor with QTS.
I have had experience in teaching from reception to College age when supply teaching.
I have also experience with working with students with learning difficulties, mostly with Autism on about 5 occasions.
I am at present teaching Year 10s and 11s, GCSE English language and Literature Online, one to one.
I have experience of lately teaching A Level English Literature.
In my online lessons I will usually be sharing the screen. or scribing. I also use videos for extra content but only as an aid as I will regularly stop the video and discuss what we've just watched, there are some excellent resources out there.
Quickly building a relationship with the pupil is of the utmost importance, and if possible humour, it definitely oils the wheels!
My first experience of teaching was as an English Teacher in a Comprehensive School where I taught Key Stage 3 and 4. Then I worked for a Hospital and Home Tuition Team, where I taught GCSE Maths, Science and English.
I had about 8 years of Supply Teaching which suited our family's needs, and from 2014 I've been tutoring.
During Covid i began to specialise in online teaching which I thoroughly enjoy.
