Mark Wood

Mark has been tutoring my 10yo son in maths for almost 2 years now. We started using Mark because my son was struggling and behind where he should be. Mark has very patiently worked with him and us to reconsolidate the previous year's curriculum to ensure his foundations are stronger than they were. We have noticed a steady progression and a stronger understanding of methods and foundational knowledge over the time he has been working with Mark. Mark keeps us informed of his strengths and weaknesses and sets homework each week. He is encouraging but also pushes our son when he knows he can do better, which is what he needs. I would definitely recommend Mark as a tutor.

My son has additional learning needs so we needed a tutor that would really be able to tailor the sessions to his needs,whilst keeping them interesting and fun. Mark has worked really well to support my sons learning and advising us on what else we can do throughout the week to help him further. Seeing the benefits for my son, Mark is now also tutoring my daughter. Would highly recommend.
