Learning with me is a dynamic process. Unless you have a specific preference for topics to study, I will start from the earliest content and work my way through by continually checking your memory and understanding of key content before moving into the next topic. By checking your abilities every step of the way, I am able to focus in on those topics that you need to develop the most.

As we learn together, I am able to see through the content work out what skills in exam techniques and science skills need to be strengthened as well. Students that are most able to succeed in their science examinations are those that have capability and confidence in these two areas. Since I have been trained and working as an AQA examiner, I can also provide useful insight into the specific terminology and question styles that are most likely to appear in exams.

What you can expect from my sessions is a very adaptive process, meaning that some sessions will cover a wide range of content, while others will fixate on content that you seem to be struggling with. Regardless, every session will contain the same essentials.

- multiple opportunities to present the information in your own words, with me correcting information and providing a tier list of the best ways to answer questions on each topic.

- answer short exam style questions regarding content we’ve just learned. This will prove how well the information was retained in the hour session, and build up your comfort with the presentation of exam style questions in preparation for your GCSE’s.

- have a bespoke summary of the work we did together that can be used in independent revision in the future.
