Mark Pitt

I like to use visual media when teaching, and I am particularly fond of using presentations, alongside interactive quizzes and assessments, to monitor a student's progress. I have previously volunteered as a British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) youth representative, which required me to engage schools and universities with the scientific work undertaken by the BTO. As part of this role, I have delivered training courses regarding scientific writing and animal and plant identification.

I graduated top of my class with a first class honours degree in Biological Sciences (Ecology) from The University of Edinburgh in 2020/2021 and I am currently undertaking a Master's by Research in Ecology at the University of Glasgow. I can confidently teach students in biology to a university level and can teach chemistry, geography, and English up to A level and advanced higher level.
