From personal experience when learning the guitar, I found I spent the most time practicing by learning songs that I liked. It can also good to have some basic knowledge of some standard scales, riffs and chord progressions used in different styles of music so I am happy to teach you some of these if you'd like, from blues to country to pop.
My guitar playing is most focused in the traditional acoustic folk domain, so I would be able to show you the most things in this register from finger-style picking to alternate tunings.
There are many many ways of playing the guitar, making it an awesome instrument to pick up and learn, and travel about with!
Being half French/Scottish, I would be able to teach you some French music if you'd like, as I grew up around it and am familiar with different artists.
I also play piano in a band so would be more than happy to show you some things on the keyboard as well if you'd like and have some production knowledge of how to record and mix using DAWS so this is another thing I would be happy to teach you.
