My belief is that learning a language should be effortless, through listening, repetition and lots and lots of practice. So in my class you can expect to be exposed to lots of target language, through stories or the repetition of set phrases that will help you get to the stage of fluency that you wish. My belief is that learning a language should be effortless, through listening, repetition and lots and lots of practice. So in my class you can expect to be exposed to lots of target language, through stories or the repetition of set phrases that will help you get to the stage of fluency that you wish. I strive to make all my lessons fun, relatable and engaging by making sure that you are able to take part and experience success in each of them. I also create an atmosphere in which taking risks and making mistakes is an integral part of the lesson as I strongly believe that it is through making errors and learning from them that we make the best progress.

My lessons can vary in length according to your needs, but I would recommend 20-30mins for nursery and KS2 pupils, 30- 45mins long for KS3 pupils and 45mins to 1h for KS4, 6th form and adults. I have over 6 years experience as a language tutor and 5 as a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher.

As a fully qualified teacher, my methodology is based on research and mainly inspired by Conti, Printer and Krashen who are all advocates of effortless language acquisition.

Depending on your needs and your learning profile, the lessons will be either based on stories or broken down in manageable chunks of learning, focussing on the phonology, syntax, grammar and context of each piece of learning using listening, reading, speaking and, if you so wish or it is one of your needs, writing.

This is the best way to ensure long lasting retention of the vocabulary without overloading the mind.
My method is applicable to all the qualifications that you may wish to pass since I have successfully used it at all the different levels throughout my teaching career.
