My process always starts with an assessment that helps me determine the level of comprehension of the student, following by a motive exploring behind the tutoring such as work, school, interest in the culture, an upcoming holiday.
I believe that the traditional learning process is useful and fundamental behind language learning, but this can leave behind the fact that as an evolving system, languages are alive, and the best way to immerse yourself in them is through the lenses of someone who lives them.
With these in mind I try to cover a set of vocabulary, reinforced by some grammar lesson as the core of a lesson. And I have a particular interest in the practicing of the speaking part and correcting on the spot, which initially can be very frustrating it leads to the fastest results in my experience.
Finally I like to leave assigments as watching a series or listening to a song in the targeted language, to make the assignment more attractive and to show how the language works in reality and the benefit that will provide for the student.
