As a tutor i believe every lesson should be tailored to each individual student, and will dedicate myself to finding a students weaknesses and delivering a well structured lesson designed to guide them through mastering mathematics. most lessons are 1-2 hours long and are weekly or twice a week. They begin with some time spend on active recall and a refresher on a topic they may have struggled with before, then the bulk of the lesson will be on learning a new topic, and making sure the student understands fully and knows what’s going on beyond the formulas giving them a good foundation for future mathematical endeavours. Also there will be regular tests using exam questions which will be timed to ensure they not only understand but can apply their knowledge in a test environment.
I’ve had my fair share of students and have helped people ranging from beginners who know only basic algebra and to advanced mathematicians who only needed that but if extra help to achieve top grades.
I teach primary school level mathematics, GCSE level and as level maths and further maths. I have a full and great understanding of all these levels and can assure you that by the end of our time together you will surly have possession of this knowledge and can face any mathematical problem an exam can throw at you. Also leaving with good problem solving skills your time with me won’t be a waste even if you don’t plan on doing maths past a GCSE level.
