Hello!

My name is Marina Hata and I am very passionate about helping people learn languages- because it will open doors you didn't know they existed.
As a person who learnt English through what I loved -Broadway musicals, American and British TV shows, Disney- I know that your own passion/interest will be the biggest supporter in order to achieve your goals.
So I wholeheartedly recommend you to choose (some of) your own teaching materials too- for example, Japanese songs, books, TikTok videos etc. But of course, I could choose them too if you'd prefer that way.

So, as your Japanese teacher, I promise that:

I will make a personal learning plan for you based on your level, interest and goal
I will do my homework to know what your interest is (including watching clips of your favourite anime!)
I will share your passion to learn Japanese
I will be open for any questions related to your learning

Bit of my background:

Before I came to the UK, I was an actor in Japan trained in the field of theatre and voice acting, with credits including Japanese classical plays and radio drama.
And now I'm a professional actor in the UK who has graduated from Manchester School of Theatre with First class honours degree in 2023.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions regarding my lesson- I love getting them!
From beginners who have never seen Japanese alphabets to advanced speakers all welcome.
