Marie Ertugul

I have been working with students of all ages and abilities, ranging from primary school all the way through to further education. I have gained valuable teaching and supporting experience within a primary school, senior school, and college. I have delivered interventions to small groups teaching; phonics, spelling, reading and writing. Able to support in Maths, and English GCSE level and I have also helped pupils in college with their NVQ and or BTEC in various topics such as; Business, Social Studies, Health Care, Finance and Marketing.

Having worked with pupils that have limited or no English has been challenging at times, but the results have been amazing, particularly with younger students who naturally pick up new languages. When delivering my sessions I will always adapt how I teach and create accessible content to suit their learning style and ability.

During my teaching and supporting career, I have also had significant experience working with those who have speech and language delays and or other special educational needs. Working closely to help them develop their learning and time management while also helping to enhance their social and emotional skills.

I am highly adaptive, attentive, and dedicated with a passion for helping others. It gives me a great sense of pride to know that I have helped make a difference to my pupils bringing them closer to reaching and succeeding in their goals.

When working with a new pupil I like to undertake their learning aims, try to understand their learning style, and then build and tweak on each session to help the pupil reach their full potential. If you choose me I will give you 200% at all times.
