Since graduating from Leeds college of music (masters in performance 2019) and Huddersfield University's Bmus (hons) course in 2008 I have worked as a teacher and performer. I have performed both as a soloist and as part of orchestras and smaller ensembles such as the Rarescale Flute Academy flute choir. I enjoy performing a huge rage of musical styles including contemporary music and jazz as well as more traditional material. In addition, I enjoy performing as part of pit orchestras for musicals and playing for weddings and functions and regular work on baritone saxophone with riot jazz band Deadbeat Brass.
During this time I have gained invaluable experience working with both children and adults of all abilities from beginners to preparing for Conservatoire entrance auditions and diplomas.
In addition I work as an academic tutor for GCSE and A Level candidates.
I love all genres of music and try to teach as wide a variety of musical styles as is possible, I aim to tailor all lessons to each individual and can work towards practical qualifications as well as playing for fun or joining local ensembles and music festivals.
