I have a BSc (Bachelor of Science) Degree in Psychology with counselling. My final dissertation paper immersed into ADHD and current research into this condition. It particularly enhanced my knowledge on how students with ADHD can thrive in an educational setting. I achieved an A in my Advanced Subsidiary (AS) in Forensic Psychology that dove into the manifestation of serial killers.
It is important to me for students to feel they are getting valuable learning for their money. To do this both the student and myself will work together to form a personalised learning plan that fully suits their needs and requirements. I take time and consideration in ensuring students enjoy their learning experience.
I provide a safe and open learning environment for students to make mistakes and experiment as this is the most optimal way to learn. My degree and experience in Psychology has heavily prepared me to provide quality tutoring in subjects that students may find difficult:
- Introduction to Psychology
- Counselling Psychology
- Skills for Therapy Practice
- Clinical Psychology
- Biological and Cognitive Psychology
- Research Methods and Statistical Analysis
- Social Psychology
- Mind over Matter
- Emotions, Mental Health, and Affective Neuroscience
- Forensic Psychology
I am qualified to provide guidance for students completing their GCSE’s or A-Levels at both Beginner and Intermediate levels. I help to strengthen subject comprehension and confidence, whilst developing useful skills for learning. My tutoring sessions provide diverse learning strategies that otherwise won’t be learned in a crowded classroom setting. I strive to assist students that aren’t given due attention for their diversity and require new research based methods to assist in constructive learning.
I hope to see you soon!
Mariana :)
