My lessons are designed in a way that makes them accessible to students in all levels, and they aim to make sure that none of the students are too shy to ask about anything. The goal of any class I teach is that the students know that their hard work is appreciated and that they are always encouraged to move forward with their language learning. Being a language learner, one might be subjected to a huge deal of societal stress, as most of the students tend to suffer a lot, because of the idea of “having an accent”. I would love to assist the students in their language learning journey by paving the way for them to see that language is not only about accents, that language is a means of communication, and that as long as their words are understood, it means that they are on the right track. My goal personally is to change the idea that most people have about L2 speakers of English being incompetent. Just because one was not born with English as one’s L1, that does not mean that one does not understand the language well, or that one would not be able to teach the students English. L2 Speakers of English, as often said by L2 speakers, would have a lot in common with the students who are learning English as a foreign language. As a result, the students would most probably feel very inspired to know that L2 speakers of English can have very high levels of language competence, that would even make them become teachers of English.
