My name is Mariam and I’m excited to share my journey as an English tutor and how I can help individuals enhance their language skills.

Throughout my academic years, I discovered a passion for helping others improve their English proficiency. Even during my time in secondary school, I eagerly volunteered to tutor younger students in English. This early experience allowed me to develop my teaching skills and deepened my understanding of the challenges students face when learning a new language.

As a tutor, I believe that possessing certain qualities is vital for creating a positive and effective learning environment. Firstly, I pride myself on my patience. Learning a language can be a gradual process, and I understand the importance of giving students the time they need to grasp new concepts. Patience allows me to guide them through difficulties and celebrate their progress.

I firmly believe in fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment. Instead of solely relying on lectures, I incorporate various interactive activities, such as discussions, role-plays, and multimedia resources, to make the learning process enjoyable and practical. This allows the students to actively participate and apply their knowledge in real-life scenarios.

I prioritise continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest resources and methodologies in English language teaching. This allows me to integrate innovative tools and techniques into my lessons, enhancing the learning experience and ensuring that students have access to most effective strategies.
