I centre my teaching approach on student-centred learning, differentiated instruction, and critical thinking skills. I believe in creating engaging and interactive lessons and activities that cater to students' needs and learning styles. Through dynamic classroom discussions, hands-on activities, or personalised mentoring sessions, I aim to ignite curiosity, develop a love for learning, and empower students to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners. In addition to my instructional skills, I possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. I am adept at building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, and I am committed to fostering open communication and collaboration within the educational community.

I assess student performance in ICT qualifications, ensuring adherence to examination standards. I design and deliver coding sessions to KS1 and KS2 students, fostering their interest and proficiency in technology. I also guide and support a diverse group of young people in revision, study skills, and exam preparation.

I also specialise in teaching adults and young people to develop their digital skills to promote online safety.

I possess a deep passion for teaching and am wholly dedicated to inspiring others with my vast knowledge and experience. I aim to spark curiosity, foster a love for learning, and empower learners to think independently and embrace lifelong learning. I also strive to bolster self-esteem, cultivate study and social skills, and instil the confidence needed to reach your full potential.

I am also a Digital Champion Volunteer for Waltham Forest Digital Champion Network, I support residents in 'Digital Drop-in' sessions regularly hosted in Libraries
across the borough. In these sessions, I offer support on various topics on computers,
phones and devices, including:
- How to print
- How to access Word documents and other Microsoft Office skills
- How to access council services online
- How to send and receive emails
- Building confidence using a new device
- How to use Google and internet browsers

Maria gave me the confidence that I needed to have a go at social media . She was always on time and prepared and personalised my sessions according to what I felt I needed to learn . She also gave me extra post -lesson tasks to practise. Thank you very much Maria.
