Maria Teterina

Maria has taught me the piano from age 6, I had lessons for 13 years. She is kind and patient and extremely capable, a wonderful teacher :) With her attention to detail and high standard of teaching I learned a lot from her. Maria really fosters love and appreciation for music and the piano. As a bonus: I also got an A* for A level music, playing piano for my performance.

Maria is an excellent piano teacher. She has been teaching piano to my girls for 7 years and her love for music and passion for teaching are inspiring. She is patient, extremely knowledgeable and encouraging.

As background - we as a family have had Maria as our Piano teacher since 2017, in combinations of having my older daughter, who is now 12, younger daughter who is now almost 7 and even me (age undisclosed!) been taught by her. Her first lesson with us is still clear in memory - she explained the mechanics of the piano - how the sound comes out, where it comes from - all enthralling. She has been a great guide for my daughter’s ABRSM practical piano examinations from Grade 1 to Grade 4 and now appearing for Grade 5. For my younger daughter - she is a wonderful and patient teacher as well. Her great qualities include her natural gift for music, patient teaching, attention to detail and flexibility. Strongly recommended especially for starter lessons for the younger ones. As also the more technical requirements for an older student.
