I start the lesson with a quick chat about how your week at school has gone, and what you are currently covering in lessons. If you are finding it challenging, we pencil the topic in to cover next lesson.
We then move onto the main part of the lesson, which varies student to student and week to week. If we are working on a specific topic I like to start by making sure you understand the key points. We generally then move onto some exam questions or worksheets to help build your knowledge and confidence.
If we are working on exam technique, I will prepare a whole paper with various topics to work through, and we will make notes on areas where you excel and areas you find more difficult. These notes will inform future lessons and help boost your grades for final exams.
Lessons are always flexible, and I am very willing to accommodate requests for topics even with short notice. This is due to the fact that I have a large catalogue of lesson plans from my years of experience.
My main aim is for lessons to be enjoyable, so I encourage my students to have conversations surrounding the topics we cover, and to think about the wider context. I certainly enjoy teaching, and hope that you will enjoy learning from me!
