I have a calm and understanding approach to tutoring, underpinned by years of teaching experience and an excellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum and entrance examinations.

I work hard to develop students’ confidence and explain topics in a way that is accessible and clear to them. I create positive relationships with all my students and teach them the art of working hard to get desired outcomes.

I have extensive knowledge and experience of teaching students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and Speech and Language difficulties. I am kind, patient and work at students’ pace to ensure important learning isn’t missed, and that all have a good sense of ownership.

I am a Teacher with QTS who has taught both Primary and Secondary students in mainstream and SEN schools. I have worked as a Tutor for three years, supporting students to close gaps in their learning and helping them to realise their potential. Students I have tutored have gained places at both public and grammar schools.

My lessons are tailored specifically to meet each student’s individual needs, therefore I begin with an initial consultation with parents, followed by an assessment. The assessment will help inform the content of lessons moving forward.

Lessons are typically an hour each, but many students prefer to have them taught in two-hour blocks. They focus on teaching new concepts in engaging and creative ways, addressing misconceptions, applying new skills and giving students opportunities to think critically and problem solve.

My lessons are for students aged five to thirteen who need a confident boost; those who want to catch up with their peers, or for those who want to get into that dream school - maybe all three! My lessons are for all, however big or small the need may be.
