I have always been the teacher in my group friends, firstly. And then, I taught my niece, cousin and everyone around me who asked for a help while I still studying at the University. In fact I know where kids struggle when it comes to math so it is more easier to correct and guide them.
My method is to never just repeat a mathematics, you have to understand the assignment, the formula, and the "why" in them.
Every kid has his level of understanding so it takes patience and passion to teach, so for me, the real quality to ask here is the fact that I will never give up on my student.
One of my methods in math is " never imagine an assignment, always write, even though you don't know yet the answer, just write what you know, formula, even just repeating the subject, just write something, and it will lightened up to you little by little.
I always suggest to my students to always think positively when they are in front of a difficult subject, always have in mind this phrase : it is easy, I just need to think wisely!"
I think many people have the knowledge to teach math to primary student, but what makes you a good teacher is the way you treat your student. Because kids can feel it, they will not give up if you don't give up on them.
So I am here if you want your kids to be in a good hand :)
