I have a very international exciting background. Born in Argentina to a Spanish/Italian family, travelled to Mexico when I was four, grew up there and travelled around Central America, living in Costa Rica for a while.
Went back to University in Argentina to read Spanish Language and Literature, did a Graduate course on teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and later another degree in Classics, as I love languages and linguistics. Moved to Oxford in 2004 to do a Masters and a Doctorate in Philology, which gave me great insights into languages, their structures, connections, use and fascinating history.
I have many years teaching experience in Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek at Primary Schools Clubs, Secondary Schools (GCSE, A level), as a private tutor, teaching Business Spanish for several companies in Oxford, as well as to adults and casual learners.
I am a very professional knowledgeable tutor, concerned with the progress and success of all my students. Very organized, I teach in a fun and exciting, yet structured easy to follow way. My explanations are clear and precise. I always try to make difficult subjects easy by using practical examples, exercises, visual aids, games, interesting readings and audio-visual material.
I create fun materials for my students to use, and challenge / interest them with fascinating topics from around the Hispanic world. I have an Instagram account where I post my "Remedial Spanish Grammar in the Car" fun little videos to help my students remember difficult structures.
