As an English teacher, my aim for each lesson is not only to successfully teach new language items, but also to create a safe and comfortable environment for all of us.

While teaching, I am going to be using and perhaps adapting different course book materials. Along with that, materials such as videos from YouTube, TikTok videos, pictures, video games, movies and severa other things will be used!

Lessons will include interesting, fun and engaging material. Before each class, learners have the opportunity to inform me what kind of topic or language skill (reading, listening, speaking, writing) they would like to focus on, so that I can prepare and deliver that specific lesson for them.

One thing that is really important for an English lesson is for learners to have opportunities to speak. Through speaking and interacting with each other, as well as being able to choose what material you want to be taught can make students more independent and autonomous. Therefore, good communication is a must during an English lesson.

Both from my learning and teaching experience, I have realised that what really helps a person to learn English is practise not only during the lesson, but also outside of the classroom. So, it is important for learners to do exercises and homework as well as do other more pleasant activities such as watch movies or TV programmes, listen to music, read books; all in English!

Overall, the purpose of an English lesson is to both educate ourselves and have a good time.
