I graduated from the University of Basilicata in 2002 and since then , I’ve been teaching Italian for foreigners . Apart from having many years of experience teaching a variety of classes the skills and qualities I possess make me a competent Italian instructor including excellent spoken and written skills , patience ,confidence in my subject and clear diction .I use my educational background in Psychology and Pedagogy to understand more of the cultural differences of my students . During my classes I also use my background in acting and singing to create an entertaining environment for the students .My teaching style is very student-centred. Being adaptable and flexible I can tailor my teaching style to suit my students needs .Each lesson is task-based with specific learning goals . My teaching style is student -centred .My preferred teaching method is immersive . Language is presented in the context of real-life situations with a focus on on grammar and vocabulary. This allows you to use the Italian language in actual situations. I usually create effective lesson plans based on the level of the student . During your class you only speak and hear your target language , as though you were in the country where the language is spoken. Before presenting the new content the student has a warm-up to perform what they have previously learnt.The immersive experience allows you to overcome any inhibitions about speaking . I feel strongly you will be impressed with my teaching abilities , professionalism and strong work ethics ..
