Over the past year, my official role was a Cultural and Language facilitator which means that I was teaching Culture and Language in Argentinian schools and institutes. This meant that I was teaching a range of ages with varied resources. For example, in the schools, they had projectors and Bluetooth, and TVs, whereas with the institutes I had a whiteboard or a chalkboard. Therefore my lessons were varied and tailored to what I had. However, my preferred format is online lessons, Zoom or Google Meet, as a 1-to-1 lesson. Even though I like online lessons if you live close to Cardiff, there is a possibility of having a face-to-face lesson. Also, I prefer more informal lessons such as conversational practice, however, in Argentina, I also taught Grammar and reading comprehension. Furthermore, I am more than happy to teach about British culture/ Welsh culture as this is what I have experience in. This includes learning about the country, taking part in cooking/art/sports/making videos, and learning about traditions/differences between your native country and mine. Recently, I have just started to study to acquire my TEFL ( Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification, therefore I am more than willing to teach you specialized lessons such as Business English or Everyday English. Additionally, the resources I like to use include songs, Youtube, articles from the news, clips from TV shows, Kahoot, and British Council (just to name a few). For me the main thing is to have fun, as you will learn a lot quicker if you enjoy the process!
Thanks
Mari
