My teaching career has been both national and International which has been exciting with a vast variety of teaching and learning.
I have worked as a subject leader where I led the Art subject with passion and inspiration.
I am an approved AQA moderator for Art.
I will bring my experience, resilience, patience, and love of Art for this role, and I will join the team and encourage the students to flourish and achieve progress and engagement.
I implement engaging lessons to maximise pupil learning potential, expertly managing challenging classroom behaviour in an understanding manner.
I have successfully taught KS3 -KS5, GCSE/ IGCSE/ A Level AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge, Art & Design, Scottish Standard Grade and Higher and the IB Diploma program. I have accreditation for marking Cambridge GCSE coursework.
I have taught drawing, painting in all mediums, ceramics/ sculpture, printmaking, graphics and design. I currently have my own DT year 7 class.
I plan and prepare engaging lessons and have carefully written syllabus/ schemes of work. I enjoy this part of my job as I imagine the kid’s response and joy for my art lessons.
I regularly monitor students’ progress and achievement using the google classroom for both formative and summative assessment. I use live marking which is an effective technique for student progress and achievement.
I will track progress of all students and teaching through data analysis, observations and learning walks. I will analyse the teacher strengths and create timetables that utilise these strengths.
I will always be available to any students wanting to catch up or improve work both at breaktime and lunchtime. I can hold after hours sessions in Art for catchup and guidance.
I will use the student’s and staff’s creativity to realise and fulfil their full potential.
