My lessons aim to inspire new ideas by sharing my varied knowledge of artists/designers and their practical techniques. I can help at every stage of the students project but I particularly like getting involved from the beginning mind mapping stages where we can draw together ideas and I can recommend a variety of materials and techniques to use. I am skilled in drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture in a variety of mediums which I can teach confidently.

My drawing lessons include still life, grid drawing, figurative drawing and mark making.
My painting lessons include colour theory, portrait painting and landscape painting.

What I most enjoy about being an Art and Design tutor is working as a collaborator with students, being someone they can openly discuss ideas and concepts with and push their projects further. Having scored the top grades at both GCSE and ALevel Art and Design I know what is needed for a successful portfolio and can help advise and build up students sketchbooks with the relevant material to achieve these top grades. I completed a foundation at the Royal Drawing School and am now currently studying Art and Design BA at the University of Leeds so I can also advise on studying these subjects after school.
