Passionate Brazilian biologist and educator with extensive experience in remote, hybrid, and in-person teaching, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have successfully taught 100+ students across primary, high school, and college levels, fostering engagement and academic success in diverse learning environments. My innovative approach includes designing educational games like Surviving Cows and Genetic Bullseye, which have been validated for their effectiveness in enhancing student understanding of Genetics and Evolution, resulting in a 25% average grade improvement.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Genomics at Fiocruz Paraná, I am passionate about bridging cutting-edge scientific research with innovative teaching strategies. My teaching philosophy is rooted in Paulo Freire’s problem-posing education and the STS (Science, Technology, and Society) approach, ensuring lessons are critical, interdisciplinary, and student-centered. I also incorporate Delizoicov’s three pedagogical moments—Initial Problematic, Organization of Knowledge, and Application of Knowledge—to create dynamic, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.

As a former professional dancer, I bring creativity, energy, and a unique perspective to the classroom, inspiring curiosity and connection among students. I am fluent in both English (C1 Advanced, Cambridge Certified) and Portuguese, making my classes accessible to a wide range of learners.
