I offer virtual lessons between 1 to 2 hours long. I am not a native speaker myself however I would like to share my knowledge as I’ve been living in the UK for over ten years. As a starter, I get to know my students and the level they’re at, although the topic of conversation is up to the student. I’m willing to talk and discuss a range of topics. I teach by initiating conversations and asking questions based on my students ability. I also encourage my students to take opportunities outside of our virtual lessons to further better their understanding and confidence in speaking the English language. I also advise my students to do their own revision and practice to lock in old or fresh information into their long term memory. On top of speaking with my students to increase their confidence and skills I also discuss the basics of the English language such as vowels, punctuation, spelling and tips and tricks so that the student may apply their knowledge onto written format. Additionally, I will be setting somewhat of a weekly homework via email. The homework will be a short paragraph, conversation or list of questions asking the student about their day, hobbies, holidays, family, food, activities, or chosen topic by the student. After receiving the email I will forward a grammatically correct version alongside a response. I want my students to enjoy learning a new language and understand that this is a wonderful skill that can come help when travelling, meeting new people and opening up more doors and opportunities without having to worry about language barriers!
