I will discuss with you your learning goals and areas for improvement that you would like to work on. I will develop a learning plan for each individual student based on your specfic goals. My teaching style is dynamic and I like to have discussions around the topic in order for students to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.

My experience:

After university I worked for the NHS for a number of years in different roles. I worked in an inpatient psychiatric unit at Manchestor Royal Infirmary. This involved working with patients with severe and acute mental health problems such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anorexia and so on.

After this, I went on to work for a Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team. This was a community-based role which involved visiting patients at their home, again this was with people presenting with severe mental health problems but the goal of the Home Treatment Team was to intervene and stabilise their mental health in order to avoid in-patient admission.

After leaving this position I then went on to study a PgDip at UCL as part of the IAPT programme. This involved working on a one to one and group basis with clients presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems and providing CBT-based treatment. I specialised in helping clients with Long Term (physical) Conditions, and using CBT and mindfulness techniques to manage physical pain.

For the last six years I have been a private tutor, primarly online-based. I am familiar with the AQA AS/A Level syllabus and can help you deepen your knowledge in any area that you're struggling with.
