With more than ten years’ experience as a teacher, I suppose there are three key points: a strong academic background, patience, and student psychoanalysis. A strong academic background is a foundation of being a teacher, which can help you master the teaching content more deeply and improve the quality of the teaching. The other two points are the key to the success of teaching. Because I found most students are ordinary people during my teaching career, and not all of them are Newton and Einstein, or learning machines. You must learn to explain key concepts to students constantly using all kinds of effective teaching techniques like concretization of abstract concepts, giving examples, body language, and analyze the reasons for their confusion until they can fully understand what you teach. One of the things I am most proud of is that I taught a student who had never studied chemistry passing the final chemistry exam after two-month teaching. Moreover while my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set including first-rate teaching service and interpersonal abilities. Therefore, I suppose no one is better for this position than me.
In my spare time, I have some hobbies: music, reading, exercising and traveling. I am a music fan, and I can play many musical instruments like piano, accordion, folk guitar, violin, which are my best friends. Meanwhile, reading can make my inner world more full and quiet, which helps me think more deeply. Additionally, exercising is good for keeping a healthy body, and traveling can broaden my horizon and have a better understanding of different cultures.
