The format of my lessons vary depending on the student’s needs and learning style. I believe adapting my approach enhances the student’s engagement and understanding during lessons. For any given topic, I often start with asking the student questions to better understand the difficulties they’re facing and work backwards step-by-step with examples to help them understand the topic. I encourage student to ask any questions they have and will work through examples with them before getting them to attempt questions on their own. With more difficult topics, I like to start with easier questions and progressing towards more multi-step problem solving questions. I create all my own presentations, worksheets and materials and encourage students to interact during lessons as much as possible. For older students (GCSEs and A Levels), I supply a lot of helpful resources such as past exam paper questions organised by topic (dating back to 2006) to really nail exam techniques and pattern recognition. For younger students (under 8’s), I try and make lessons as interactive and fun as possible by using interests they have as examples (eg sports or food) as I feel this is most effective for their understanding and interest of maths! My lessons tend to be an hour/90 minutes depending on the student with most students having lessons once/twice a week but I make space for students with upcoming exams to increase this to 3/4 lessons. Ultimately, I’m an enthusiastic mathematician with a passion for teaching so do get in touch if interested!

I cannot recommend Mansa highly enough as a tutor! Each session is well-structured and tailored to my needs, making complex topics much easier to understand. Mansa has a remarkable ability to break down difficult concepts into manageable steps, so I grasp the fundamentals before moving on. Her use of real-world examples and practical applications makes learning not only easier but also enjoyable. She is always punctual, prepared, and goes above and beyond to ensure I fully understand the material. What sets her apart is their genuine passion for teaching and her commitment to my success. She is always available to answer questions and provide additional support whenever needed.

Mansa was a wonderful tutor, very gifted mathematician! She was patient with me, methodical in her approach to teach the foundation of a topic then adding complexity in layers to make it understandable. My grades have significantly increased - highly recommended her.

Mansa was the best tutor I had whilst revising for my A-level maths exam, and was a big part of why I achieved the grade I needed. Would definitely recommend for someone who is looking to take A level maths or GCSEs!
