Manami Shiga

Hello, my name is Manami, and I am a Japanese tutor currently living in Brighton on a working holiday. I recently lived in Tokyo for university, where I studied International Business. In 2022, I also studied management at a business school in Croatia.

I am bilingual, so even if you don’t know any Japanese, you are more than welcome to join my lessons. I hold the Japan Kanji Aptitude Grade 2 certification, demonstrating my proficiency in kanji.

My teaching motto is to make learning practical and enjoyable. I focus on teaching Japanese that you can use immediately after our lessons. Whether it's casual conversation, useful slang, or practical cultural tips, I tailor my lessons to meet your needs and help you confidently use Japanese in real-life situations.

In addition to language learning, if you have any questions or curiosities about Japanese culture and customs, feel free to ask. I believe that learning a language is not just about the words but also about understanding the culture behind it.
