Mallika Khan

I am a university lecturer within Psychology as well as an experienced social researcher. I also have career experience within different areas of Psychology such as: clinical psychology, community psychology, counselling, charity sector work, and working with complex needs.

I have taken this knowledge to make sure that the format of my lessons are accessible to students, helping them to understand essay structures, how to think critically, contemporary knowledge of psychological theories and research. I ensure to help you understand the 'big words' and jargon associated with the subject and teach you how to search for literature on your own.

The content will help you to take the knowledge and be able to apply this to practice to gain a more well-rounded understanding of the subject. I hope to inspire your passion for Psychology by tailoring sessions to your own interests surrounding the subject. Content of session will depend on your skill level and what you hope to gain from the tutoring.

The dynamics of lessons will be less strict but still just as informative, to ensure that students can comfortably ask for help and support without judgement. I want to be able to get to know my students to understand what areas of Psychology interest them and how I can incorporate them into these sessions. I like to use presentations with imagery, videos, online tasks, and in-depth discussions to help students think more widely around the topic.

In doing so, I know that you will become more skilled in the subject with knowledge of theories, research and how to answer questions for exams!
